Creation Space opens
Mosman Council’s new Creation Space, a special makerspace and training lab focussing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) programs and activities for all ages, will provide a place for the community to create, learn and develop digital literacy skills.
The new learning lab, operated by Mosman Library Service, supports the development of imagination, innovation and inspiration with equipment including cutting edge technology such as 3D printers, a laser cutter, robots, cricut cutting machines, 360 cameras, coding packages and VR.
The first programs in the Creation Space will be held for children and teens during the June school holidays.
The Creation Space is due to expand further in mid-2022, with funding recently received through a NSW Government Library Infrastructure Grant for two studio spaces for filming, vlogging and podcasting.
