Tillers acquisition

Mosman Art Gallery has successfully raised funds for its proposed acquisition of an important Imants Tillers painting, which will be the first acquisition made through the gallery’s new Acquisition Fund, thanks to the community’s generous support and The Balnaves Foundation. 

Works by the renowned contemporary artist are held in the Art Gallery of NSW and the Museum of Contemporary Art and the acquisition of his work Factum 1, 2021 will contribute to the continued expansion of the Mosman Art Collection.  

The acquisition of Factum 1, 2021 will come ahead of the first major survey show of Tillers’ work at Mosman Art Gallery in November 2023.
