Meeting held with Mayor, Minister for Planning and Public Spaces , Department of Planning Housing and Infrastructure Executive Director, Strategic Planning and Policy. Council’s concerns about the reforms were outlined and it was requested that DPHI have due regard for Mosman’s local circumstances when applying the proposed reforms.
Workshop with Department of Planning Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) representatives and Council staff. Discussed policy refinement, town centres, affectations that exist in Mosman that DPHI should consider in applying the reforms to have regard to the individual circumstances of the Mosman local government area. Council was requested by DPHI to provide additional information in support of these exclusions.

Council letter to DPHI: Provides an overview of the exemptions Council was seeking to the reforms and indicated that in not doing so and by applying the reforms in blanket approach would have detrimental impacts on the years of good planning that Council has undertaken to preserve and enhance the numerous elements that are highly valued by the Mosman community.
